The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) has released a revised Alternative Connect America Cost Model (A-CAM) service area map. The revised map contains new default central office (Node0) locations for 98 service areas. To plot these new locations, the revised A-CAM map uses the place that is closest to the central office location previously used in the FCC’s prior forward-looking model, a process that is fully described in the Bureau’s A-CAM Service Area Development Process white paper. A list of the 98 service areas with revised central office locations is attached to the Bureau’s Public Notice. The revised map is available at http://www.fcc.gov/maps/acam-ror-sa-map. Rate-of-return carriers affected by the revised map may request corrections by May 15, 2015.
