The FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau and Wireline Competition Bureau have authorized the last batch of Auction 902 winning bids for Tribal Mobility Phase I support. Auction 902 took place on February 25, 2014 with five carriers winning $50 million of one-time, high-cost support to bring 3G or better mobile voice and broadband services to Tribal lands that lack such service. A large majority of authorized Tribal Mobility Phase I funds will support Tribal land deployments in Alaska.
