In April 2014, Comcast Corporation (Comcast) and Time Warner Cable Inc. (TWC) filed joint applications seeking consent to transfer control of various Federal Communications Commission (FCC or Commission) licenses and authorizations.  If completed, these transfers will effectuate the sale of TWC to Comcast.  Additional applications have been filed to effectuate the divestiture of Comcast and TWC property to Charter Communications (Charter) that will result in a net reduction of approximately 3.9 million residential video customers from the combined Comcast and TWC.  The Commission has set August 25, 2014 as the deadline for filing comments or petitions to deny the applications.  Responses to comments or oppositions must be filed no later than September 23, 2014, and replies must be filed no later than October 8, 2014.
