The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) is seeking comment on petitions filed by 15 provisional winners of rural broadband experiment support that request waivers of the post-selection review requirement that they provide certain financial and technical information. For the financial information, winners must submit audited financial statements for the past three years, including balance sheets, net income, and cash flow. For the technical information, winners must submit a description of the technology and system design used to deliver voice and broadband service, including a network diagram, which must be certified by a professional engineer. The total amount of rural broadband experiment support awarded to the 15 provisional winners that are seeking a waiver is $50.3 million.

The Bureau has also announced that six entities have defaulted on their awards of rural broadband experiment support. Specifically, a total of four winning bidders for Category 1 support have defaulted on their awards, and two winning bidders for Category 2 support have defaulted. Consequently, $651,832.15 in Category 1 support and $64,600 in Category 2 support will be returned. Lists of the six winners that have defaulted on their awards and the 15 provisional winners that are seeking waivers are available as attachments to the Bureau’s Public Notice.
