In response to the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on E-Rate Program participants, the FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau has extended its temporary waiver of the FCC’s E-Rate program gift rule through June 30, 2022, the end of the funding year 2021. In granting this extension, the FCC wants to ensure that eligible schools and libraries are able to continue to benefit from improved broadband connections or equipment for remote learning during the pandemic.
