The Wireline Competition Bureau has announced the proposed North American Numbering Plan (NANP) Administration anticipated fund size of $8,635,136 and contribution factor of 0.0000535 for fiscal year 2022 (October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022). The NANP billing and collecting agent, Welch LLP (Welch) has calculated this estimated fund size, which ensures that consumers have access to the numbering resources essential to provide new services and technologies.
Welch also developed the contribution factor for U.S. telecommunications carriers, all of which are required to contribute on a competitively neutral basis to meet the costs of numbering administration. If the FCC takes no further action regarding the proposed fund size estimate and contribution factor, the proposal will be considered approved.
