The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC or Commission) Wireline Competition Bureau (WCB or Bureau) has issued an Order granting Frontier Communications Corporation (Frontier) a waiver of the Commission’s rules requiring carriers, who accept Connect America Fund (CAF) Phase II model-based support, to complete deployment to 80% of support locations by December 31, 2019. The FCC established that Frontier had good cause to seek waiver of its milestone deadline. The Commission expects Frontier to reach its 80% and 100% support milestones in Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah by the end of 2020.
