The Wireline Competition Bureau has released an Order on Clarification clarifying that Huawei and ZTE customer premises equipment is potentially eligible for reimbursement under the Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Reimbursement Program. This Order was in response to an application filed by Cincinnati Bill, Inc. seeking review of the Bureau’s Public Notice adopting the Reimbursement Program procedures and forms. The Bureau further clarified that costs associated with the removal, replacement, and disposal of covered Huawei and ZTE CPE may be eligible for reimbursement where it is “essential to the provision of advanced communications service.”
