The FCC has released a Public Notice announcing the effective dates and compliance deadlines for the revised Robocall Mitigation Database rules and filing requirements. Specifically, all providers, regardless of whether they are required to implement SITR/SHAKEN or are capable of implementing STIR/SHAKEN, must file certification and robocall mitigation plans in the Database. Providers newly required to file in the Database must submit all required information and certifications by February 26, 2024 and existing filers must submit any necessary updates by this date.
In addition, beginning on May 28, 2024, intermediate and voice service providers will be barred from accepting traffic from any provider not listed in the Database. The Database is now open to filers for submissions.
