The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC or Commission) Wireline Competition Bureau (WCB) announced that December 9, at 6:00pm, is the deadline for eligible facilities-based mobile providers to elect to receive Stage 2 mobile high-cost support for the Uniendo a Puerto Rico (PR) Fund and the Connect U.S. Virgin Islands (USVI) Fund. Eligible mobile providers interested in participating must provide a certification to the Commission of the number of subscribers they serve. For each provider that elects to participate in Stage 2, it will be allocated a pro-rata share of the budgeted support based upon its number of subscribers, as of June 30, 2017.
