The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced nearly $700 million in ReConnect Program grants and loans to support broadband access in the Marshall Islands and 22 states. The ReConnect Program offers federal loans, grants, and combinations thereof to facilitate broadband deployment in rural areas and on Tribal lands. The 22 states where awards were made are: Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
