President Trump has nominated Arielle Roth as Administrator of the Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). NTIA is the Executive Branch agency that is principally responsible for advising the President on telecommunications and information policy issues. NTIA is also responsible for administering the $42.5 billion Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment program. Roth currently serves as Policy Director of Telecommunications for Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). She has previously served as a legislative aide to former Senate Commerce member Roy Blunt (R-MO) and Wireline Legal Advisor to former FCC Commissioner Michael O’Rielly. Roth’s nomination has been formally transmitted to the Senate.
