The FCC has approved Telcordia Technologies Inc. d/b/a iconectiv as the nation’s next Local Number Portability Administrator (LNPA). The Commission’s vote approves a contract negotiated between an industry consortium called the North American Portability Management, LLC (NAPM) and Telcordia. Once the contract with NAPM is executed and a transition from Neustar, Inc., the current LNPA, is complete, Telcordia will serve as the next LNPA for an initial term of five years.
