The Senate has confirmed Alan Davidson to serve as the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) administrator by a 60-31 bipartisan vote. Davidson will be NTIA’s first permanent head in more than two years. Davidson’s confirmation comes at a crucial point as NTIA begins to handle the billions of dollars in broadband funding it was appropriated through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, including the $42.45 billion Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program.
