The USDA’s Rural Utilities Service has released its Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) outlining the rules for its Rural e-Connectivity (ReConnect) Program.  One of the rule changes for the upcoming funding round relates to area eligibility.  According to the FOA, areas that have been awarded Rural Digital Opportunity Fund support, to provide at least 100/20 Mbps service, will be eligible as long as that support has not been authorized yet as of September 6.  For the purposes of this program, the RDOF support will be considered authorized when the RDOF awardee has received final approval for its long-form application.

The application window for ReConnect Program’s fourth funding round will open on September 6 and close on November 2.
