The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) seeks comment on how it should establish a program to share supply chain security risk information with advanced communications service providers and equipment vendors. NTIA has been directed by Section 8 of the Secure and Trusted Communications Network Act of 2019 (Secure Networks Act) to establish such a program. Specifically, NTIA seeks comment on ways it can facilitate the sharing of information with trusted providers and how it can convey such information to rural providers, given the potential declassification procedures needed and other legal barriers. Comments are due 30 days after its publication in the Federal Register, which has not yet occurred.
