The FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau and Office of Engineering and Technology have announced that Key Bridge Wireless LLC (Key Bridge) Spectrum Access System (SAS) has passed the FCC’s SAS laboratory testing and that Key Bridge may begin its initial commercial deployment (ICD) in the 3.5 GHz band Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS). Following the completion and FCC approval of its ICD, Key Bridge would be the sixth SAS, following the FCC’s full certification of Amdocs, CommScope, Federated Wireless, Google, and Sony earlier this year. The first CBRS Priority Access Licenses (PALs) currently are being auctioned off in the ongoing Auction 105. When authorized by the FCC, PAL holders will rely on a SAS to dynamically manage spectrum operations of CBRS devices.
