The FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau has denied waiver and extension requests filed by Braunston Spectrum LLC, MDS Operations, and Montana Internet Corp. of the 10-year final construction requirements for 22 multichannel video and data distribution service (MVDDS) licenses. The Bureau evaluated the licensees’ efforts since previously-granted 2011 and 2014 extension requests and found that the licensees offered no evidence of efforts to meet their April 3, 2016 final deadline. Accordingly, the Bureau denied the waiver and extension requests, dismissed the renewal applications, and noted that the MVDDS licenses automatically cancelled as of April 3, 2016.
