House Representative August Pfluger (R-TX) introduced the Food and Agriculture Industry Cybersecurity Support Act (H.R. 1219), which would require the National Telecommunications and Information Administration to provide cybersecurity advice for agriculture producers. NTIA would create a clearinghouse to provide agriculture producers additional resources that they need, including instructions on how to respond to ransomware attacks. The bill was referred to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
