The FCC has released a public notice announcing the process for filing and maintaining the lists of routes, required under Section 63.32 of the Commission’s rules, detailing the direct connections between U.S. and foreign, facilities-based carriers. International carriers with direct connections must file these lists by Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Submissions will be treated as confidential and the basic information contained within them will allow the Commission to make tailored requests for information when conducting merger reviews or investigations of possible anticompetitive conduct on U.S.-international routes. After November 14, 2018, any new or discontinued routes established or terminated by international carriers must be reported within 30 days.
