The FCC has urged communications companies to review cybersecurity practices to defend against cyber threats. The FCC encourages companies to review the Joint Cybersecurity Advisory Understanding and Mitigating Russian State-Sponsored Cyber Threats to U.S. Critical Infrastructure, created by the National Security Agency (NSA), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The FCC recommends that communications companies take certain actions to protect their networks against cyber threats, discover and inform CISA of cyber threats that impact communications infrastructure and services, and share necessary threat information with CISA and other crucial stakeholders.
