The FCC has opened a docket to receive filings relating to the potential impact of aggregate interference on satellites in the 27.5-28.35 GHz band (28 GHz band), following its decision last year to allow terrestrial wireless operations in the 28 GHz which is allocated primarily to Fixed Satellite Services for Earth-to-Space communications. The purpose of the docket is to allow the Commission to receive relevant data demonstrating changes in the amount of aggregate interference that may exist as terrestrial wireless services are deployed in this band.
