The FCC has released an Order sunsetting the collection of broadband deployment data through FCC Form 477, effective upon publication of the Order in the Federal Register. Broadband and voice subscription data will still be collected as required by FCC Form 477, but filers will submit their data through the Broadband Data Collection system.
Beginning December 31, 2022, providers will be required to submit the following data in the BDC system: (1) fixed and mobile broadband and voice Form 477 subscription data; (2) fixed and mobile BDC broadband availability data; and (3) BDC mobile voice availability data. Form 477 will only remain open for filers to make corrections to existing Form 477 filings as of June 30, 2022 and earlier.
