The FCC has submitted a report to Congress on robocalls, as required by the TRACED Act.  The report details the number of consumer complaints the Commission received alleging unlawful calls, to which the FCC did not issue any citations to enforce section 227(d) of the act, which prohibits robocalls, in the years 2022 and 2023.  The FCC issued three Notices of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture during 2022, and no forfeiture orders during 2022 and 2023.  The report also details the regulations that the Commission has implemented to reduce the number of illegal calls and the Commission’s work with the Industry Traceback Group to develop a traceback process.
