The FCC’s Office of International Affairs has issued a Public Notice reminding cable landing licensees and common carriers of their circuit capacity reporting obligation.  Using data, as of December 31, 2024, cable landing licensees and certain common carriers must file their annual circuit capacity report by March 31, 2025.  The electronic filing window for submission of these reports will open on March 1, 2025.

The FCC’s rules require that any licensee of a submarine cable between the U.S. and a foreign point and any common carrier with capacity on a submarine cable between the U.S. and a foreign point must file a circuit capacity report.  Submarine cable landing licensees must file a Cable Operator Report while cable landing licensees and common carriers must file a Capacity Holder Report.  OIA has provided a filing manual to assist entities with their submissions.
