The FCC has released its biannual Report, submitted to Congress, summarizing the current progress of the Reimbursement Program. The FCC discussed its implementation procedures in carrying out the program and described how recipients of the program are progressing, via their previously filed status updates from January 2023 and April 2023.
Of note, the FCC has only approved about $190 million of the $1.895 billion currently available budget. To date, only one program participant has filed a final certification, certifying that they have completed the rip and replace process. But, the FCC estimates, based off previous status update filings, that 13 percent of participants have completed their rip and replace process.
The FCC will issue its next progress report to Congress by January 8, 2024.
