On April 22, 2014, the FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) released a Report and Order adopting the final engineering assumptions for the Connect America Cost Model (CAM) and model inputs that calculate the cost of providing broadband service in census blocks located in price cap carrier areas. The Bureau has announced that the CAM’s illustrative results, along with a list of census blocks that are potentially eligible for Connect America Fund (CAF) Phase II model-based support are now available. The eligibility of the census blocks is subject to the outcome of the CAF Phase II challenge process. The illustrative results and list of potentially eligible census blocks are available here.
