The FCC has adopted a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking proposing improvements to the Robocall Mitigation Database to ensure continued accuracy of the database. All providers, regardless of whether they are required to implement STIR/SHAKEN or are capable of implementing STIR/SHAKEN, must file certification and robocall mitigation plans in the database. The NPRM proposes to require providers to update their FCC registration system profile within 10 business days of any changes. The Commission also seeks comment on requiring filing fees for database submissions and on technical solutions to assist with the cost of validating data in the submissions.
