FCC Issues Update Regarding Mobility Fund Phase II Challengers

The FCC has released a status update regarding the Mobility Fund Phase II (MF-II) challenge process. As of June 30, 2018, 80 entities obtained access to the Universal Service Administrator Company (USAC) MF-II Challenge Process Portal. Of the 80, 37 are mobile service providers; 13 are state government entities; 14 are local government entities; 12 are Tribal government entities; and four fall into other categories (including Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia, the Kansas and Nebraska Farm Bureaus) and were permitted to file challenges with FCC rule waivers. The FCC indicates that challenger data includes 399,390 speed tests.
