The Federal Communications Commission’s Wireline Competition Bureau (WCB) has issued a second order designating Eligible Telecommunications Carriers (ETC) for the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF). WCB has designated five carriers—Bright House Networks Information Services, Talkie Communications, Conexon Connect, Time Warner Cable, and Charter—in six states as ETCs in eligible high-cost areas within those specified states. Designation in these areas is conditioned and effective upon the FCC issuing a subsequent authorization to receive support under the RDOF program.
