In a Public Notice, the FCC’s Enforcement Bureau (Bureau) has authorized all U.S.-based service providers to block voice calls that originate from certain robocalling enterprises and has issued cease and desist letters to voice service providers identified as originators of or intermediate providers for the robocalling enterprises. Additionally, the FCC announced that the Bureau has opened a formal investigation into the robocalls for any possible legal violations.
