The FCC has released an Order granting an extension request filed by Stealth Communications Services, LLC concerning Stealth’s removal, replacement, and disposal term deadline.  The Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Act Reimbursement Program requires program recipients to complete their removal, replacement, and disposal of unsecure equipment and services within one year of receiving program funds.  Program recipients are able to request individual extensions of the one-year deadline, up to six months, claiming that, due to no fault of their own, they were unable to timely complete the process.

The Commission has granted its first completion term extension request, granting Stealth a six-month extension of its completion deadline due to supply chain issues.  The FCC noted that five other recipients have filed extension requests, and that the FCC intends to address such requests through subsequent action.
