The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau has waived certain Lifeline program rules governing documentation requirements for subscribers residing in Tribal rural areas, recertification, recertification, general de-enrollment, and income documentation through June 30, 2022. The Commission has found good cause to grant these waiver extensions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the Bureau will continue to evaluate whether an additional extension may be necessary, the FCC anticipates that this will likely be the final extension of these waivers.
