The FCC’s Broadband Data Task Force has announced that the Broadband Data Collection filing window deadline for submission of availability and subscription data, as of June 30, 2023, has been extended to September 15, 2023. The Task Force reasons that additional time for providers to incorporate the updated Fabric data is warranted given that there was a processing error that resulted in approximately 100,000 broadband serviceable locations (BSLs) not being included in the June 2023 Fabric data that was sent to providers and other Fabric license holders. CostQuest, the FCC’s Fabric contractor, is sending an updated version of the June 2023 Fabric by August 1, 2023 to Fabric licenses that includes the previously missing BSLs.
