The Competitive Pricing Division (CPD) of the Wireline Competition Bureau of the Federal Communications Commission has issued an Order establishing the procedures and filing days for the 2022 filing of annual access charge tariffs and Tariff Review Plans (TRPs) by incumbent local exchange carriers (LECs). Incumbent LECs are required to file annual tariffs effective on July 1, 2022, which means changes requiring 15 days’ notice must be filed on June 16, 2022, and those requiring 7 days’ notice must be filed on June 24, 2022. They must file all of their tariff materials through the Electronic Tariff Filing System (ETFS) before 7:00 pm EDT of the filing day (and they can file as soon as 7:00 pm EDT of the prior day). CPD also reminds carriers of the new tariff filing fees of $6540 for price cap LECs and entities with more than 100 LECs, and $3270 for all other incumbent LECs.
