The Federal Communications Commission’s Enforcement Bureau has issued a citation and order notifying Anthony Locasto that if he does not eliminate interference to Sprint Corp.’s 800 megahertz cellular network in Staten Island, N.Y., from an outdoor Astak night-vision color surveillance camera at his Staten Island residence, he may be liable for significant penalties, including fines of up to $19,639 per day. According to the citation and order, Enforcement Bureau field agents visited the Locasto residence twice and determined that there was support for the allegation that the surveillance camera was the source of the interference. Further, the Bureau had delivered three warning notices to Mr. Locasto, two affixed to the front door of his residence and one sent by certified mail.
