The FCC has announced its commitment of $37 million in Emergency Connectivity Fund program support to help close to Homework Gap. On April 28, 2022, the FCC will open a third application filing window for schools and libraries to seek reimbursement for eligible equipment and services to be delivered or received in the upcoming school year. The filing window will close on May 13, 2022. This latest round of funding is supporting over 170 schools, 30 libraries, and four consortia across the country. Given the past demand, this upcoming filing window will likely be the last opportunity for schools and libraries to request funding before the remaining ECF program support is exhausted.
