The FCC has begun its collection of regulatory fees for Fiscal Year 2022, opening its Commission Registration System (CORES), following the release of its Report and Order and Notice of Inquiry for FY 2022 posting the schedule for fee collection. The FCC must receive the regulatees’ payments by September 28, 2022, no later than 11:59 p.m. ET, otherwise regulatees will face late fees of 25 percent of the unpaid amount. Streamlined filing procedures, implemented and followed in 2020 and 2021 due to the hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic, will still be followed during this collection period.
