The FCC’s Broadband Data Task Force, together with the Wireline Competition Bureau and Office of Economics and Analytics, have announced that state, local, and Tribal governments, service providers and other entities may file bulk challenges to the data in the Broadband Serviceable Location Fabric starting September 12, 2022. The Fabric, a common dataset of all locations in the U.S. where fixed broadband internet access service is or can be installed, serves as the foundation for the Broadband Data Collection fixed availability maps. The FCC will host a public webinar on September 7, 2022, at 2 p.m. EST to assist interested parties in filing bulk challenges.
