Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC or Commission) Chairman Ajit Pai has announced a staff change in the management of the FCC’s Rural Broadband Auctions Task Force (Task Force). Audra Hale-Maddox will now serve as the new chief of staff for the Task Force replacing Nathan Eagan, who has moved to the Office of General Counsel. Hale-Maddox was formerly an attorney with Womble Bond Dickinson and formerly served in the Auctions Division of the FCC’s Office of Economics and Analytics, where she specialized in auction programs that expanded broadband access. Similarly, the Task Force is responsible for implementing reverse auctions of universal service support, including the upcoming Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) auctions.
