The FCC has adopted a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) to examine and review regulatory fees for satellite space stations and earth stations for FY 2024. The FCC is seeking comment on a range of proposed changes to its existing methodology for regulatory fees for satellite space and earth stations, including changing the allocation of fee burdens between geostationary orbit (GSO) and non-geostationary orbit (NGSO) space stations and increasing the allocation of fees payable by earth stations licenses.
Comments are due April 12, and reply comments are due April 29.
