The FCC’s Enforcement Bureau (Bureau) has announced that Andy Hendrickson will serve as the Bureau’s new Chief Technology Officer. Hendrickson will provide strategic and technical advice on technological developments and issues related to the Bureau’s work to strengthen its technical expertise in privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, and network outages. Additionally, Hendrickson will work with the FCC’s Privacy and Data Protection Task Force.
Hendrickson has served as a technology executive in the private sector with over 20 years of experience in telecommunications, specializing in business and technology transformation. He has previously worked as Senior Director of Technology at Verizon, has led global technology initiatives at Esri Inc., and has served as a part-time lecturer at Rutgers University. He is an active member of the Open Infrastructure Foundation and the Network Time Foundation.
