FCC Commissioner Michael O’Rielly recently announced his first official staff appointments:
Courtney Reinhard, Chief of Staff & Senior Legal Advisor- In addition to serving as Chief of Staff and Senior Legal Advisor, Ms. Reinhard will also handle media issues for Commissioner O’Rielly. Ms. Reinhard recently served as Legal Advisor for wireless issues for FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai. Prior to joining the Commission, Ms. Reinhard served as Counsel and Budget Analyst to U.S. House of Representatives Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan and as Telecommunications Counsel for the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
Amy Bender, Legal Advisor- Ms. Bender will serve as Commissioner O’Rielly’s Legal Advisor for wireline issues. Prior to this post, Ms. Bender served as a Deputy Chief in the Telecommunications Access Policy Division of the Wireline Competition Bureau, where she managed the high-cost universal service program. Prior to that, Ms. Bender was detailed to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and was also a Legal Advisor to Chairman Kevin J. Martin.
Erin McGrath, Legal Advisor- Ms. McGrath will serve as Legal Advisor for wireless, public safety and international issues. Ms. McGrath has worked at the Commission since March 2000, and most recently was a Legal Advisor to Commissioner Robert M. McDowell. Prior to joining Commissioner McDowell’s staff, she was an Assistant Division Chief in the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau’s Mobility Division. Ms. McGrath also served as an interim Legal Advisor to Commissioner Meredith A. Baker.
