The Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) has issued a Public Notice announcing and clarifying the deadlines for filing comments and reply comments in response to the 2017 Wireline Infrastructure Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), Notice of Inquiry (NOI), and Request for Comment (collectively, Notice). In the Notice, the FCC specified that comments would be due 30 days, and reply comments would be due 60 days, after the date of publication in the Federal Register. The NOI was published in the Federal Register on May 11, 2017; however, the NPRM was published separately on May 16, 2017. Accordingly, the Bureau has announced that all comments in response to all parts of the Notice will be due June 15, 2017 (30 days from May 16, 2017), and all reply comments will be due July 17, 2017 (60 days from May 16, 2017). These same filing deadlines apply to any other comment periods related to the Notice in the item’s docket, including the Initial Regulatory Flexibility Analysis and any of the proposed information collection requirements contained in the Notice.
