Comment deadlines have been established for the new 3.5 GHz Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) adopted by the FCC last month. Comments are due by December 28, 2017 and reply comments by January 29, 2018. Responding to petitions filed by T-Mobile and CTIA, the FCC’s NPRM introduces a host of changes to the Priority Access License rules, including technical limits and Spectrum Access System requirements within the band’s Citizens Broadband Radio Service that would make it more amenable to large-scale 5G network deployments.
