The FCC has issued a Public Notice requesting input on how it can help accelerate the adoption and accessibility of broadband-enabled healthcare solutions, especially in rural and other underserved areas. In light of the ongoing technology-based transformation in healthcare delivery, the FCC has commissioned the Connect2Health Task Force to chart the broadband future of healthcare and ensure that the Commission stays ahead of the health technology curve. The FCC seeks comment, data, and information on a variety of regulatory, policy, technical, and infrastructure issues related to the emerging broadband-enabled healthcare ecosystem. This feedback will help the Commission better understand the current state of broadband health technology, as well as inform the Task Force’s work and recommendations. A complete list of the Task Force’s objectives, along with issues for which the FCC requests suggestions, is available here. Comments are due May 24, 2017, and reply comments are due June 8, 2017.
