In light of the FCC’s obligation to publish a Communications Marketplace Report in the last quarter of every even numbered year to assess the state of communications marketplace competition including satellite, the FCC’s International Bureau seeks data, information, and comment on the delivery of voice, video, audio, and data services by satellite communications providers. Comment is also sought on the criteria or metrics that could be used for such an analysis, as well as comment and information on industry data, competitive dynamics, and trending factors, some examples of which are spelled out in the Bureau’s public notice. Comments are due by September 7, 2018.
