With the closing of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) this month, FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel sent a letter to outreach partners and grantees extending a thank you for the work done to connect over 23 million households through the program. While acknowledging continued efforts in Congress to extend and provide additional future funding for the ACP, Rosenworcel noted that in the absence of ACP the FCC’s Lifeline Program may be a potential alternative for bringing affordable broadband services to low-income households.
