The FCC has announced that certain rules adopted in the FCC’s Cybersecurity Labeling for Internet of Things Report and Order will go into effect on August 29, 2024. The adopted rules changes that will go into effect include rules related to goals, definitions, and some processes. Of note, the rules related to the application process to obtain a Cyber Trust Mark will not go into effect until such rules receive Office of Management and Budget approval, which has not occurred yet.
