The Competitive Carriers Association and USTelecom – The Broadband Association have filed a Petition for Extension of Waiver seeking an extension of the waiver relieving Broadband Data Collection filers of the requirement to verify their submissions with a licensed professional engineer, for the next three filing windows. CCA and USTelecom argue that: (1) professional engineers are not needed for accurate broadband map submissions; and (2) there is a limited number of professional engineers available that makes compliance difficult.
